Welcome to Summariz AI. By accessing or using our platform - including submitting contracts via email - you agree to the following Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Please read them carefully.

1. Our Service

Summariz AI is an AI-powered tool that provides contract analysis and summaries. You simply forward your contract to a unique email address and receive a clear, concise summary in return. We use OpenAI’s API to process these documents, your data is handled securely and privately.

Note: This service is intended for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making legal decisions.

2. Who Can Use Summariz AI

By using our service, you confirm that you:

  • Are at least 18 years old or have legal capacity to use the service.

  • Will not upload or transmit contracts containing sensitive personal data (e.g., health, banking, or ID info)

  • Ensure that all content complies with applicable laws and does not violate intellectual property, privacy or contractual obligations.

3. What You Can’t Do

To keep things safe and legal, you agree not to:

  • Upload illegal, offensive, or infringing content.

  • Use Summariz AI outputs as legally binding advice.

  • Reverse-engineer, disrupt, or misuse our platform.

  • Violate intellectual property, privacy or data laws.

Violation of these rules may lead to account suspension or termination.

4. Data We Collect & How We Use It

Personal Information

We only collect your email address when you sign up.

Submitted Contracts

Contracts you send are processed for summarization only. They are not stored long-term.

Technical Data

We collect basic analytics: IP address, browser, usage patterns, and cookie preferences to improve security and user experience.

5. How We Use and Protect Your Data

  • Your email address is stored in our database hosted by Squarespace.

  • Any contract you send us is forwarded on to a MailParser inbox, a link to your contract is generated.

  • Zapier sends that link on to OpenAI via an API to carry out the summarization process.

  • OpenAI, when used via an API, does not use your data to train or improve its models. API request and responses are deleted by Open AI after 30 days, in accordance with their data usage policy.

  • Your summary is sent back to you via our email hosted with googlemail.

  • Emails and contracts are deleted after 1 day from our MailParser inbox.

  • We do not sell your data to third parties.

  • Your email address and usage count is stored in a Google Drive.

  • If you sign up to Summariz Ai - Unlimited we process payments using Stripe.

We opt for all the shortest lengths of time that your data is stored on any given platform.

6. Your Rights Under GDPR

If you are located in the UK, EU, or relevant jurisdictions, you have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal data.

  • Object to or restrict processing.

  • Request data portability.

  • Withdraw consent for communications at any time.

7. Cookies Policy

We use only essential and functional cookies:

  • Essential cookies support authentication and core platform functionality.

  • Functional cookies help remember user preferences.

We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising cookies. You may manage cookies through your browser settings.

8. Intellectual Property

All branding, user interface, workflows, and platform code are owned by Summariz.Ai. The AI processing is powered by licensed third-party services, which are used strictly for delivering our service. You retain ownership of your uploaded content and grant us a limited license to process it solely to provide summaries.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Summariz AI is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee the completeness, legal accuracy, or suitability of AI-generated summaries. We are not liable for damages or decisions based on our service output.

10. Account Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to terminate your account without notice if:

  • You violate these Terms.

  • Your actions endanger our platform or users.

  • Legal or compliance requirements demand action.

11. Modifications to These TermS

We may update these Terms and this Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the platform and service constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be resolved via arbitration or mediation before legal action.
